How Colleen Lost 50 Pounds and Improved Her Myasthenia Gravis with Optimal Eating

Colleen Halverson was days away from going to the doctor to ask for anti-depressants.  She was so down about her health, her weight and how she was feeling physically and emotionally.  Colleen has Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disorder and after years of steroids, she couldn’t lose weight for the last two years.  She was 67 at this time and was running out of hope.  Until one day…

She saw an ad on Facebook from me, Nutritionist, Trisha Mandes about how to Shed Pounds Sustainably even if you have an additional diagnosis or can’t exercise.  I’m so glad Colleen clicked that ad, watched my one-hour webinar and then signed up to chat with me to see if/how I could potentially help her.

After that call, she felt hopeful she could turn her health around and despite never having invested in herself significantly before, she hired me as her Nutritionist and I am beyond thrilled to share Colleen’s incredibly inspiring health success in my interview with her today.

Here’s a sneak peak of what Colleen accomplished eating optimally and without counting calories, measuring or weighing food or buying diet products…

Colleen is officially down 50 pounds AND reduced the amount of prednisone she needs for her autoimmune disease! (here’s her actual weight loss chart!)...

And that’s just the beginning of what she accomplished.

Watch my full video with the amazing Colleen below about her results and experience sustainably losing 50 pounds by EATING tons of optimal food she enjoys

Here’s everything Colleen accomplished eating optimally during our time together…

  • Lost 52 lbs in 7 months amongst having an autoimmune disease

  • Reduced her prednisone to <10mg/day so is experiencing fewer side effects!

  • Is 2 lbs away from the weight that she was 9 years ago!

  • Feels better everyday. Not tired or weak

  • No longer leaves the table hungry and feels satiated

  • No longer feels sluggish after eating or has regrets after she eats

  • Is walking more, doing strength training and is more productive

  • Improved her emotional state. She is more confident, proud, and less depressed.

  • Renewed interest in her hobbies. She is working on her sewing projects again and can work on multiple projects at once.

    To quote Colleen…

“I see a difference in not just my overall look, my shape, and my body. I feel a difference inside.  Know that you’re worth the investment. I had to realize I was worth doing this for.”

I’m so glad she did.

She came to see that investing in her health was not only necessary but invaluable. She’ll have and use the skills she learned in the program for the rest of her life. That’s what an effective lifestyle change is all about.
